Foundations
Auto Tire and Parts was born out of a need for Model T tires and wagon parts in Cape Girardeau. In the beginning, we served a community with fewer than 12 cars in the entire county.
1948-1949
The Tlapek Era Begins
Pat Tlapek purchased the business in 1948, establishing the "Original Store" and setting a standard for expertise and customer service that still drives us today.
1980s
Passing the Torch
John Tlapek took the helm, overseeing a period of rapid expansion across the Heartland, growing the footprint while maintaining the local shop values his father instilled.
2009
100 Years of Service
Celebrating a century of excellence at our corporate warehouse. This milestone honored the generations of employees who built ATP into a regional leader.

Still family-owned and operated, Auto Tire and Parts continues to provide the right parts and expert advice across the Heartland, 115 years later.
